Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to theologically analyze the mission of Christian bureaucrats at the North Toraja Regency Ministry of Religion Office. Through qualitative research methods using observation and interview techniques, it was found that the mission of the church in the government bureaucracy was not yet visible, not because of the tendency of Christian bureaucrats to see the relationship between the church and government in the framework of a third relationship (total separation), but there were still Christian bureaucrats who saw it in the framework of a relationship. first (state supremacy over the church). Apart from that, another influencing factor is that their understanding of mission is still traditional and inherited colonial understanding. However, in general Christian bureaucrats understand that the relationship between church and government should be seen in a partnership framework, but it is not enough just to reach the stage of understanding. Therefore, building a critical-prophetic, positive, creative and realistic partnership between the church and government through the mission of Christian bureaucrats is one of the church's mission strategies that needs serious attention and focus. It is important that every Christian who is hypostasised into Christ through the church wherever they are, must act in a eucharistic and sacramental manner. In this way, public space and ecclesiastical space are intertwined. Keywords: Mission, Church, Bureaucracy, Government.
