Abstract
ABSTRAK Desianti Daun Allo, 21010117. “Study Tentang Pendampingan Pastoral Konseling Melalui Pendekatan Therapy Rasional Emotif (TRE) Sebagai Upaya Pencegahan Prostitusi Bagi Pelaku di Jemaat Imanuel Kanan Klasis Tapparan Rantetayo”, Tesis Program Studi Teologi Kristen, Program Pascasarjana Institut Agama Kristen Negeri (IAKN) Toraja, 2024. Pembimbing (1) Dr. Yohanis Luni, M.Th., (2) Dr. Omnesimus Kambodji, M.Th. Tulisan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya pendampingan yang dilakukan oleh Majelis gereja (Pendeta, Penatua, Diaken) bagi anggota jemaat yang mengalami pergumulan, masalah, melakukan tindakan yang tidak lagi sesuai dengan Firman Tuhan. Seperti halnya yang dialami oleh seorang ibu yang terjun kedalam dunia prostitusi tetapi pihak gereja memilih diam dan seolah-olah tidak mau tahu soal itu. Yang seharusnya dia didampingi justru dibiarkan untuk hidup dalam kegelapan. Sehingga, hal ini yang menjadi pertimbangan penulis untuk mengkaji mengenai study tentang pendampingan pastoral konseling melalui pendekatan therapy rasional emotif sebagai upaya pencegahan prostitusi bagi pelaku di Jemaat Imanuel Kanan Klasis Tapparan Rantetayo. Metode yang penulis gunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian tindakan bimbingan konseling. Dimana peneliti meneliti pada objek yang bermasalah dan akan memberikan tindakan langsung melalui konseling. Dengan kata lain bahwa dalam metode ini ada aksi atau tindakan nyata yang dilakukan oleh peneliti untuk menolong seorang konseli dalam menyelesaikan masalahnya. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan oleh penulis dengan menggunakan metode konseling melalui penerapan therapy rasional emotif, maka dapat dideskripsikan bahwa ternyata therapy rasional emotif dapat digunakan untuk mencegah perilaku prostitusi pada seorang ibu yang menjadi pelaku prostitusi di Jemaat Imanuel Kanan Klasis Tapparan Rantetayo. Hal itu dapat dibuktikan melalui bagaimana konsep-konsep dari therapy rasional emotif dalam hal ini seperti pikiran-pikiran yang irasional dapat diubuh menjadi pikiran yang rasional, hal itu ditunjukkan ketika konseli mampu meninggalkan perilaku buruknya yang menjadi pelaku prostitusi kini ia telah meninggalkan perilaku itu, dan hal itu dapat dilakukan dengan baik. Selanjutnya dari yang merasa diri selalu dihantui rasa bersalah, tidak layak, kotor yang membuatnya tidak percaya diri kini mampu bangkit dan percaya diri kembali. Supervised by (1) Dr. Yohanis Luni, M.Th., (2) Dr. Omnesimus Kambodji, M.Th. This paper is motivated by the lack of assistance provided by the church council (Pastors, Elders, Deacons) for congregation members who experience struggles, problems, or take actions that are no longer in accordance with God's Word. Just like what happened to a mother who was involved in the world of prostitution but the church chose to remain silent and seemed to not want to know about it. Those who should have been accompanied were instead left to live in darkness. Thus, this is the author's consideration for reviewing a study on pastoral counseling assistance through a rational emotive therapy approach as an effort to prevent prostitution for perpetrators in the Imanuel Kanan Klasis Tapparan Rantetayo Congregation. The method that the author uses in this research is counseling guidance action research. Where researchers examine problematic objects and will provide direct action through counseling. In other words, in this method there is real action or actions carried out by the researcher to help a counselee in solving the problem. From the results of research conducted by the author using counseling methods through the application of rational emotive therapy, it can be described that rational emotive therapy can be used to prevent prostitution behavior in a mother who is a perpetrator of prostitution at the Immanuel Kanan Klasis Tapparan Rantetayo Congregation. This can be proven by how the concepts of rational emotive therapy, in this case, such as irrational thoughts can be transformed into rational thoughts, this is shown when the client is able to abandon his bad behavior of being a perpetrator of prostitution, now he has abandoned that behavior, and it can be done well. Next from that. I feel like I'm always haunted by feelings of guilt, unworthiness, and dirtyness which makes me feel less confident, but now I'm able to get up and be confident again.
