Abstract
Alfrianus Padang "Theological Review of the Meaning of Quietness in the Liturgy of the Toraja Church and Its Implementation in Sunday Worship at Bethesda Salupao Congregation, Klasis Seriti" This thesis aims to describe the Theological Review of the Meaning of Quietness in the Liturgy of the Toraja Church and Its Implementation in Sunday Services at the Bethesda Salupao Congregation, Klasis Seriti. The purpose of this thesis title is to find out the minister's knowledge of the word about quiet time in the liturgy of the Toraja Church. The benefits of the research are divided into two parts, academic benefits, namely contributing ideas to further increase knowledge about the liturgy and how to practice every act that is on the Toraja STAKN campus. The second is the practical benefit of being a reference for the minister of the word in practicing quiet times. Then in this thesis the author discusses theories related to the quiet time, the quiet time is a special time provided for God every day. In this quiet time people meet with God, talk to God in prayer, read, ponder and do what is said in God's word, quiet time the congregation can be invited to reflect personally on the message of God's word that has been heard. Quiet time is not only limited to understanding, but more than that calm time can be done in this life. In this study the authors used a qualitative method of observation and supported with literature namely reference books and to get answers from the title of the thesis, the authors conducted interviews with several informants namely servants of the word about their understanding of the quiet time in the liturgy of the Toraja Church. From the results of field research and based on the theory, the writer draws the conclusion that quiet time is a special time personally for humans to meet God to personally meditate on the word of God that they have heard and the minister of the word can give emphases from the word of God and can be irrigated with soft music.
